CHRISTCHURCH, April 16

New Zealand won both matches in the foursomes section of : the Kirk\Vimleyer Golf Cup contest to-day against New South Wales. dlacfarlane and Horton beat Hattersley and Kearne, six up.

.black and Ross beat Lee Brown and Dobson, four up, The first match actually ended five up and four to play, and the second four up and three to play. CHRISTCHURCH, April 17.

For the Kirk-Windever Cup, final day. the weather was fine. New Zealand v. New South Wales, singles, the scores at the end of the first eighteen holes:—Horton four down to Leo Brown; MacFarlane one down to Keane: Black three clown to Hattorslev: Ross three ud on Dobson.

Horton was playing very badly r,n the greens in the morning. Lee Brown played consistently after the first three holes.

Keane and MacFarlane played wonderful golf. Keane’s route was 70 .and MacEarJane’s 71. After a bad start at the first two holes, the young/ Australian reached topmost form and played better than paf golf. MaeFarlane's effort in holding him to one up was excellent.
