ARAHUIIA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs U, Houston and Co. report: Owing to the usual fortnightly sale date falling on Easter Monday, we held a sale at the above yards yesterday afternoon in lieu thereof. The yarding of fat cattle was a very small one, but was apparently sufficient for i requirements of butchers, as there was a very poor attendant of buyers. Owing to the small yarding, prices for beef were very firm, good ox averaging about 45s per hundred, and cow and heifer beef from 35s to 38s per hundred. We sold as follows:—On account of T, Staines, 36 fat lambs at 28s, 3 fat sheep at 26s 6d. 20 fat ewes at 20s, 2 bullocks at £ls 10s, 1 cow at £B'2s 6d, 1 heifer at £5 2s Gd, 1 at £lO, 2 bullocks at £l4 12s 6d, 2 at £l3 12s 6d, 1 cow at £8 17s 6d, 1 at £9 12s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l4, 1 heifer at 15s, 2 bullocks at £l3 ss. 1 cow at £8 12s 6cl, 2 at £8 12s Gd, 4 bullocks at £ll 17s Gd. 1 cow at £8 12s Gd, 1 bullock at £ls, 2 cows at £8 ss, i at £lO ss; on account of I). TL Jellie 1 cow at £8; on account of T. McNeill, 2 cows at £7.
