LONDON, April 14
All the wiles of the Egyptian delegation are at present concentrated on an attempt to shake Britain on the control of the Suez Canal. lhere is no sign at the moment of Mr Henderson wavering under the rain of subterfuges There is good reason for the suggestion that the importance .the Egyptians are attaching to the canal, is only camouflage hiding a desire to obtain concessions in. Soudan. The probable line of the Egyptian strategy is to accept the inevitable rebuff on the canal issue and then demand as a compromise, the restoration of some measure of control in the Soudan.
