AIR PAGEANT

AUCKLAND RESULTS

AUCKLAND, April 12

The weather was fine, but a strong wind did not make for best flying conditions at the pageant m the afternoon. Over 20 machines, including several types not previously seen m Auckland, thrilled the spectators with the racing events, stunting, bomb dropping, and landing events. During the afternoon Mr Coates, with Ming tom niandcr Grant Dalton, took the ail in a D.H. 50 machine.

F. C. Chichester received a warm welcome. He flew especially to Auckland 'for the pageant.

The Aerial Derby was won by Captain McGregor. Owing to the high wind Commander Grant Da'lton refused permission for the parachute descent.
