ALBANY, (New York) April 11

The New York State- Assembly, by a vote of 80 to (32, lias passed a bill requesting Congress to call a Constitutional convention lor the puipose of repealing the Eighteenth (Prohibition) Amendment to the Constitution.

The same dry ‘law repeal measures as cabled above have failed to pass the New York State Senate, this being due to a technical adjournment creating a situation which made a vote impossible.

NEW YORK, -April 12

As the result of the Jamaica ginger poisoning at Oklahoma City cabled on March 28; one hundred and twenty-six persons have been indicated for the sale of the beverage. Two chemist shop proprietors have already been arrested, and are held on tbo high bail of 25,000 dollars each.

The Federal authorities have announced that grand juries in various parts of the Slate have been hearing evidence, and will indict all those responsible for dispensing the paralyzing liquor.
