FRAUD CHARGES
AGAINST PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT
AUCKLAND April 11
Arrested in the city this afternoon Bernard Sidney Spoil.or. Public Accountant of the. New Zealand insurance Buildings, appeared in the Police Court later to answer a charge 01 false pieten es. The charge was: “That on Aim il 2, 19z9, accused did obtain from A. A. Corbun and Coy., a cheque for £27 8s by means of false pretences by falsely repesenting that he did pay the amount for Jn.cme 'lax on helm If of the company,”
The Magistrate remanded the accused to appear next Thursday. It was stated that further charges were pending. An a|>; 1 1 i ation for hail was made on helm If of accused. The Magistral e fixed the amount of bail at £loo9—self in £SOO anil two securities of £250 each.
