EMIL .TANNINGS TRIUMPHS IN LATEST FILM.
Portraying a character that every theatre-goer oau understand and sympathise with, Emil Tannings seoi - ed another tremendous triumph last, night at the opening performance of his latest,' Paramount starring picture, “Sins ,of the' Fathers.” As a Gorin an-American, Tannings is • ideally cast for the part that, he portrays. The film is now showing /at the Princess Theatre. In “Sins of the Fathers,” Tanning plays the hole of Wilhelm . Spengler, a German-American waiter and saloon keeper, who becomes a fabulously wealthy bootlegger only to have his life crash around his shoulders, bringing;; him in the end back to his original, status. In the leading feminine role is Ruth Clia.tterton, the famous ‘star of the legitimate stage, who makes ' her screen debut in this picture. Her role is .thoroughly aar unsympathetic one, but one which will ■ servg&tp introduce her to under the best of Also, featured in-,support to young Barry Norton, who fame in “What Price Glory” as soldier.
