ROSS FOOTBALL CLUB

The anSnunl meeting of the Ross Football Club whs hold last Saturday evening, -Mr John Rea, presiding over about twenty-five members. The Secretary (Mr W. K. Clarke! presented the report and (balance sheet for the post year which showed the Club had had a very successful season, being winners of the Newman Cup right out, and also, winners of the Breeze Shield for the past two years.

The financial statement showed a substantial credit balance.

The Club decided to enter for the junior competition. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

President: Mr John flea. Club Captain: Air Tiros. Houlaium Vice-Captain: Mr J. Johnston. Secretary and Treasurer: Mr W E. Clarke.

Selection Committee- President Captain and Secretary. Delegate: Air A. Cutbush. ROSS SPORTS.

Preparations are being made for a big day on 22nd on the occasion of the annual sports gathering.

Nominations for the main events, which do e on Saturday, 12-th inst., :-ie now coining in freely and the indications are that the entries will even be more numerous than in previous years.

Special attention is being given to tiie chopping events. Everything as far as possible is being arranged so as to avoid any delay in getting tlr-se events off. Mr J. Davorn will be tbe starter for the chopping and sawing and Mr \V. Ciarke for the running events.
