DARING ROBBERY
AT COALMANDER HEWITT’S HOUSE.

AUCKLAND, April 11.
Entering the home of Commander B. L. Hewitt, at Remuera, while it was occupied, an intruder stole a sum of money in a handbag and a diamond ring valued at £45 from a bedroom cft'cupied by Lady Tuck, who was staying with Commander and Mrs Hewitt. A handbag, containing £2 10»s, was also stolen from a room on 'lie oilier side of the house.
The robbery took place while Lady Tuck and Commander and Mrs Hewitt were in the drawing room in the evening, and it was not discovered until Lady Tuck went to her bedroom about 9.30. Jr - usurps
