LEGAL CLAIM SOUGHT

AYELLINGTON, April 9.

An adjourned meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Percival Cecil Fraser, chemist, of Kilbirnio, was held to-day. The previous meeting had been adjourned to enable a report to be obtained from the public •accountant on the bankrupt’s books and business.

After the accountant’s report had been read, the Official Assignee asked Fraser why lie bad not kept a record of bis transactions since August. Bankrupt replied that be was not receiving- much money during that Hme, and was pay ip g call for all the goods received.

The Official Assignee commented that a lot of bankrupt’s money bad “gone west.” It bad not gone to the creditors - who wanted to know where it bad gone. The nosition was most' unsatisfactory. In the speaker’s opinion, the case should be submitted •to the Crown Prosecutor to see whether further steps should be taken ’Midcr the Bankruptcy Act. He pro.vjrsed to take that course. The meeting then adjourned.
