PAUL BEATS MORGAN

The professional welter weight contest at the Town Ha.ll to-night between Ted Morgan (Wellington) ]ost 41b and Jack Paul (Dunedin) lOst 2|lbs, went the full distance of fifteen rounds, Paul winning on points. The result was a surprise. Paul showed cleverness, blocking Morgan's left. Morgan /was knocked down in the fourteenth round, being saved from the count by the gong The crowd were so excited that they surged round the ring.
