MEETING OF BOARD HELD

Camping fees for the Arthur’s Pass National Park were fixed at sixpen e per day and half-a-crown a ween'per camp, at a 'meeting of the Arthur’s Pass National Park Board held at Christchurch on Friday afternoon. It was decided to begin at once a campaign to raise £530 from the various local bodies so that the sum of £SOO- granted by the City Council conditionally upon an equal sum being raised from other bodies would becom available.

' The’Christchurch Tramping Club was granted a 21 year lease over the Carrington hut and five acres of land at 2s 6d per year, with a right to charge fees to non-members. Tucker (Christchurch), Mr S. J. Grajirtm (pass), arid Mr J. Fraser (Otira). The. financial statement showed an. excess of. receipts over expenditure of £lßl 12s Gd on March 31st.
