AEROPLANE CRASH AT PORIRUA
PILOT IN SERIOUS CONDITION

WELLINGTON, April 7
A moncoupe crashed at Ponrua mud flats to-day. Pilot J. Cameron suffered a fractured skull, jaw and left leg, nnd was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. It appears that Cameron, who was a war pilot, was giving the owner of the machine, 0.
Cottenll of Lower Hutt lessons in flying and the latter had been up several times during the morning. Cameron til on went up and had just done a stunt when liis engine stalled and the machine nose dived into the soft earth. Great difficulty was experienced in getting Cameron out.
