ANNUAL MEETING
The iiiuiual meeting of the Westland Referees Association was held on Saturday .at 8 p.m. Present: Messrs F. McGregor (voted to the chair), 1). R. Dowell, A. Cutbush, 13. Dowell, J. Mora, J. P. Coulsou, D. Heenan, W. Kearns and E, W. Heenan.
Apologies for absence were received from E. M. Best, S. Moore, R. McDonald, R. Nightingale and M. Wallace. The minutes of the annual meeting were confirmed. The election of officers resulted as follows:
Patron—F. McGregor, Esq. President and Chairman —D. R Dowell.
lion Sec. and Treasurer—A. Cutbusli.
Delegate to Sub-Union—A. Cutbush. Vice Presidents—J. P. Coulson and W. Kearns.
It was resolved that the Association endeavour to have personal representation at the annual conference at Christchurch. W. Kearns moved that the Association approach Westland Sub-Union for financial assistance towards delegate’s expenses.—Seconded by J. P. Coulson and carried.
Resolved that the meeting night be Monday of each week, time 7,30 p.m. An emergency appointment committee was appointed consisting of tile President ,Secretary and B, Dowell.
Mr J. P. Coulson moved that the Association recommend the Rugby Union to have all country grounds clearly marked out and flagged,—Seconded by Mr A. Cutbuish and carried. Mr A, Cutbush was appointed as delegate to the Referees’ Conference to represent Hokitika,
