For the Itosehill races yesterday, tii weather was fine and cool, after over night rain. -Nursery Handicap, first division :-
Income 1, .Veilmond 2, Lucky Dane 3. Aon by a. neck. Tune- 1.16. becoiu division : —Yv.eotara 1, Snowbound 2, Santore 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.15.1.
Dawson Stakes:—Nightmafch 1 Chide 2, Donald 3. The other starters were Leadliglit and Loquacious. At tne seven furlongs post Loquaciou was leading from Nightmaivh ant Chide. Coining to the straight, Nightmare h went to the front, but was liotlv pursued by Chide, while Loquacious had fallen back. When a furlong from home Chide tried to get on terms with Nightmare!), but the hitter outclassed him to win by three lengths, with Donald six lengths off third. Leadliglit was fourth. Time 1.541.
Itosehill Autumn Handicap:—Gwillianr 1, Happy New 2, Sir Rib hie 3 Won by half a head. Time 2.34.}. Railway Handicap, first division: Greenline 1, Venetian Lady 2, Soulier 3. Nightmarcli received some hoots after his victory yesterday, and a se<lion of the Sunday press is asking why the stewards have not ordered an inquiry into the horse’s running at Moorefield, compared with the form at Itosehill.

The South Canterbury ,jockey Club’s autumn meeting concluded to-day in dull hut fine weather. The attendance was again large, and the track was very fast. The tote handled £15,8861 making a total for the two days of £26,587 compared with £19,192 last two days’ meeting in November. Results:- -
