A record for the sale of gas appliances is also recorded, the figures being (with those for 1928 in parenthesis) as follows: Cookers (2577), 2702; gas fires, (213) 171; bath heaters (494) 563; gas coppers (302) 363; additional meters fixed (1532) 1608. In 60 years * the company has increased its sales from 36 millions to 627 million cubic feet yearly; its revenue from £23,554 to £254,667; its capital from £IO,OOO to £5634)00;. .ami of its consumers from. ; 1.503 to 26,328.’
