A ICU-mile run from Palmerston North to Wellington will be attempted by Douglas Sinclair, a member of the Brooklyn Hanitrs and the Tararna Tramping Club, during the Easter holidays. Since Christmas lie has been training under Archie l.eckie, j unr ,of Dunedin, for this run. and he hopes to complete the distance in 17 hours.
Some small schoolboys, while moving rocks on .Mount Victoria, Wellington. found a nest of lizards. A boy of eight picked up one of the large lizards, which suddenly escaped from his hand and ran up his sleeve. It worked its way right up his arm, under his vest and round his hack. The bov was not frightened, but was nearly in hysterics front laughing, because of the animal’s tickling. The buy’s upper garments had to he removed before the lizard was caught.
