TOM HEENEY
ON LION HUNTING. [United Press Association.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] NEW YORK, March 31. The New York World has a leading article entitled: “Mr Heenov and the Lions.” In this it discusses Tom Heeney’s assertion that all that the lion hunter needs to do is to pick off the lions,” which he says, “just stand there and wait for you to shoot them. You might just as well shoot the tabby cats in the rear of the Sbubert r l beat™ for all the kick 1 W‘t out of shooting lions.” The leading article continues: Me feel it our uty to point out that Mr Heeney’s idea of excitement is a little different from the ordinary man’s idea. Any man who had the courage to climb into the ring v, itli Gene Tuniiev ought not to mind a lion very much. If you are going to give ns the choice of facing Tnnnev, without a rifle, or a lion with a rifle, you are going to see a “dead cat” every time!”
