WEDDING BELLS
McKAY—COATES. The wedding took place yesterday morning at Holy Trinity Church Greymouth, of Harriet Gertrude (“Clem”), the only daughter of Mr and Mrs T. E. Coates, of Greymouth, to William Gordon, only son of the late Mr and Mrs W. McKay, formerly residents of Hokitika. Archdeacon •J. A. Jennyn was the officiating clergyman. The bride wore a dress of golden brown ring velvet ; with a hat of the same colour, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. She was attended by .Mrs R,. Porter, of Wanganui, who wore Indian red crepe-de-chine with felt hat and shoes en suite. Mrs T. E. Coates, mother of the bride, wore nattier blue, with bat to tone, and Mrs Russell, sister of the bridegroom, wore reseda green crepe-de-chine, with felt hat of the same colour, .ur Richardson, of Christchurch, accompanied the bridegroom. After the wedding ceremony Mr and Mrs Coates received their guests at their residence in Alexander Street. Mr and Mrs McKay left later by car on the honeymoon, Mrs McKay travelling in a beige suit, with felt hat to tone.
