Confirmation lias Ibeen received from Perth that the missing fliers were found about 1.40 o’cTek this afternoon by Sergeant King’s motor party, which ‘■‘■"rted "out fiwm Broome. • A radio message was received from Smith, at the 'Wyndham Meat Works, at 2 p.ni., saying: “We have been foulnd by King’s party. All O.K. Thanlrs to Station V.Af.Z.A.J. (Signed) Smith.” PLANE SMASHES P’ Y.‘ •- TRAPAP ' ATASTETtTON, ATa.rch 31. An all-metal Avro Avian aeroplane lidonging to A. V. Jury, of Papawai, Grey town, crashed when landing at Willowburn, the owner’s property. Tt encountered an air pocket after the engine had been cut off and fell about 150 feet, striking some willows. The lower wing then struck a bank and tile aeroplane came to rest against a stump, blit did not capsize. Jury was struck by a willow branch, and had some teeth knocked out when lie was thrown against tin* windscreen, but otherwise he escaped although he was rendered unconscious for about ten minutes. The machine was very badly damaged, but the engine appears to lie intact.
