Police and labourers arc boycotted by villagers in the neighbourhood and have to journey ten miles to procure food. Large forces of police are concentrating at .Jalalapu.r, where Ghandi is due to arrive in a few days. Importance is attached to the sudden departure of Svkes, Governor ol Bombay, for Delhi to discuss, with the Viceroy future action of the Bombay Government with regard to Ghandi.
