ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, March. 26. Prices mostly were easier at to-day’s Addington sale. Beef.—There were 520 head yarded. The quality was mixed. Prices were slightly better for good sorts, but inferior'sorts declined £1 per head. Steers sold: Heavy £l7 15s £l9 7s 6d prime £l6- t0.£17, medium £l4 5s to £ls ss, plain, £lO 10s to £l2 10s. ! Heifers and cows sold: Best £l3 to £l6 12s 6d, prime £9 to £ll, plain £6 to £8 10s. Fat lambs. —There were 2,200 yarded, mostly plain and unfinished. The best sold to 29s 4d. prime 24s to 275, medium 21s 6d to 23s 6d, light 18s to 20s. .Mutton,— There were 4000 fat sheep yarded. Prices were a shade easier. Conipetition was slow. Wethers sold: Extra to 33s 4d, prime 26s to 27s 6d, medium 23s fid to 25s fid, light 19s to 225; ewes, extra to 22s 6d, prime 18s to 20s, medium 15s to 17s 6d, light 11s to 14s. Store Lambs, There were 2000 vards4' - mostly unattractive sorts. Prices were slightly lower. Rape lambs sold 12. to 14s, medium 10s to 12s, culls os to 7s 6d. Store sheep.—There were 22,500 yarded, a mixed lot. There were many passings and withdrawals. The North Island was well represented. Best two tooths sold 26s to 325, medium 24s to 255, others 20s to 235. Sound mouth sorts sold: Best 17s to 21s, medium 14s to 16s, inferior 10s to 13s, culls 4s to 9s. Pigs.—There was a large yarding of pork and bacon, including several trucks from the West Coast. Prices were easier by 10s to 12s per head Pork sold 47s to 555, heavy 58s to £3 2s 6d. average 7£d to per lb. Bacon sold £3 10s to £4, heavy £4 2s 6d to £4 17s 6d. extra to £5 13s 6d; average 0i to 7d per lb.
