CAR THIEVES SHOT

(Received this day at 8.30. a.m.) VANCOUVER, March 23.
Four car thieves at lliufl'alo, all under twenty, were killed in a pistol duel with the police. One was identified as the slayer of a police officer a month ago. A fifth member of the gang was wounded and taken to the hospital but escaped from the operating room via a drain pipe, leaving a trail of blood.
