SYDNEY, March 22.
State Ministers are convinced the salaries of Cabinet Ministers and members of Parliament and public servants must be reduced. The amount has not yet 'been determined, but it is believed it will be ten per cent. 1
The Government will probably decide to revert to the forty-eight hour week in the public service, and also five and a half days week for administrative staffs. Police, school teachers, railway a.nd tramway workers wil be included in the scheme. The Secretary of the Public Service Association announces the organisation will oppose any reduction in salaries. The Teachers Federation is similarly minded.
