A TE AROHA QUESTION

TE AROMA, M arcli 18. A large deputation consisting of prominent business men and cWgv, waited on the .Mayor to-day with a request that steps he taken to correct the impression of an erroneous report published in the daily press to the effect that the people of Te Aroha are in favour of opening the bowling greens and tennis courts in the local tourist Domain on Sundays. It was stressed by different speakers that the report in question did not present the true feeling of the townspeople, who did not desire, as suggested, any laxity in sabbath observance, and the .Mayor expressed entire agreement with the deputation. He said that, as far as possible he would meet their wishes.
