ADDINCTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, March 19. There was a big yarding of fat cattle of mixed quality. The market was decidedly easier. Heavy prime steers sold £l9 to £2O 7s 6d. prime £l6 os to £l7 10s, medium £l4 6s to £l6 ss, plain £ll 10s to £l3 10s. Best heavy heifers sold £l2 to £l3 15s, prime £9 10s to £ll 15s, plain £7 to £8 ss. Prime heavy cows sold' £l2 10s to £l3 15s. prime £8 15s to £lO 10s, plain £7 10s to £8 ss, unfinished £4 5s to £6.

There was a heavy yarding'of fat sheep. Prices showed an easing tendency, and it was a dragging market. Prime wethers sold to 28s lOd, medium 24s (id to 275. light 19s 6d to 28s lid : extra heavy prime, ewes to 24s 7d. prime 19s (id to 225. medium 16s to 18s 7d, inferior 12s to Ids. The fat lambs were a large entry, ■with few good lines, the quality being mixed. Many West Coast lots were showing a lack of finish., but they were well grown. There was a dragging sale. Extra, prime lambs sold to 32s 4d, prime 24s to 27s Od, medium 21s to 23s 6d. light 18s 6d to 20s 6(1. exhibition lots 3ds to 40s.

There was a heavy yarding of storesheep. The lambs mostly were unattractive lots, and the market was easier. Best lambs sold 13s 6d to Ids. medium 11s to 13s, inferior from Bs, culls from ■ 3s. A large yarding of adult sheep met an irregular market. There was an average decline ot about 4s a head.

Fat pigs were in over-supply, but there was fair competition. Prices eased on late rates for all classes. Choppers sold from £3 to £6 3s 6d, porkers dls to 62s 6d. heavy porkers £3 5s to £3 16s 6d, average Bkl to 9d per lb. Baconers sold £4 to £l4 10s, heavy £4 12s 6d to fid, extra to fid 14s (id; average 6.1 d to 7d per lb. Stoic pigs were easier.
