STRUCK OFF

INVERCARGILL SOLICITOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 18. The Court of Appeal this afternoon mad© an order striking George McDonald, of Invercargill, solicitoi, off the rolls of practicing .solicitors of the Dominion. It was stated by Mr H. F. Von Haast, counsel for the- New Zealand Law Society, that affidavits showed there were two charges against McDonald ; (1) that he received £l2 17s 3d from one Peter Mcßae, who was defendant in an action, with ‘instructions to nay the same to defendant, pnd he had failed to do so, and had

consented to judgment being entered against Mcßae; and (2) that lie had collected the sum of £440 16s 4d on behalf of Gertrude Stubbs, Nurse, of Invercargill, and had accounted to her lor only £IOO. Mr Hogg, of Invercargill, who appeared for McDonald, consented to the order being made, which was done with costs against McDonald.
