AVOOL SALE. [United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] INVERCARGILL, Alarch 17. At the second Southland woqt sale to-night, there was a record catalogue of 16,000 bales. Bidding was keen throughout, but no variation in values compared with the, first sale hold at the end of .January was apparent, nor any appreciable cliff ere net* from last week’s prices at Dunedin. A great deal of competition conic from Bradford, and Continental buyers operated occasionally, while local manufacturers and speculators appeared to be continually in the market. Comparatively lew lots were passed in. The growers were apparently realising that there was little chance of disposing of their clips in the. event of their being held over, as this is the last fixture of the season in .Southland,
