GOOD RAINS IN N.S.W
SYDNEY, March 17
Good rain continues throughout New South Wales. Tile north coast is deluged, and there is- danger of floods on life Hunter and Manning Rivers. Upwards of sevgii .inches of rain have fallen in jsoine' parts in three days. '"<'l - Torrential rain fell in parts of Sydney, the Mosman .suburb receiving a thorough drenching, and the residents having to wade through water shin deep. The agriculture "outlook is extremely rosy. PR EM lER BAVIN. SYDNEY, March 18. Premier Bavin speaking at Handwick, suggested the formation of some kind of economic council for rehabilitation of the Commonwealth’s credit abroad. He agreed that some reduction of imports was necesasry and was of the opinion that a reduction in production costs as distinct from a reduction of wages, was imperative, for in no other way was it possible to sell goods abroad. He appealed to employer and employee alike to lace the lads.
