A conference between representatives of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union and members of the British Fanners Party now touring the Dominion will be bold at Wellington next Monday. HIGH ALTITUDE REACHED
AUCKLAND, March 16
An unusually high altitude for a light aeroplane with a passenger on hoard was attained by one of the Auckland Aero Club’s' Moths on Saturday morning] when Lieutenant D AT. Allen, chief instructor, with Miss lna Wight, of i Devon port, as his supil went to 14,000 feet.
From that groat height the pilot spun his machine down to 5800 feet, making about 40 turns in all. In reach the altitude .from which it so quickly descended the Aloth was climbing for 50 minutes.
