LONDON, March 15
“The Times” Riga correspondent states :—The Russian Communist Central Committee . has urgently telegraphed to the. Provincial Committees to abandon their violence against the peasants throughout the country, because it was discrediting the Soviet, and also to slow down the religious persecution of the peasants and only to close the churches where it was the wish of a majority of the inhabitants owing to the dangerous temper created by the former method of general suppression.
