A RAH UR A FAT STOCK SALE,
At yesterday’s fixture at these yards V. defines and Co.'s entry comprised CO head of fat cattle and 180 fat sheep. Competition was much an a levn 1 . with the previous fixture, all finished medium weight cattle selling up to late rates. Heavy ox and cow beef alone showed an easing in price. Sheep sold well the tops of Mr H. Bush’s wethers from Bruce Bay making 355. The following sales were recorded :

Messrs M. Houston and Co. report :—At the usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday we. submitted <to competition 46 head of fat cattle and 270 breeding ewes, There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was good for all ; well finished cattle, at prices slightly “in advance of those of the previous sale. We sold as follows:
On aceuont of a Client 70 ewes at 20s, 94 at 245, 108 at 20s; on account of F. G, Williams and Sons 2 bullocks at £ls, 2 at £l4 T,os, 2 heifers at £l3 15$. 2 at. £l4 15s, 3 at £l4 os, 2 Bullocks at £J6, 2 at £ls 15s, 2 at £l4 15s, 2 heifers at £l4, 2 bullocks at £ls ss, 2 cows at £ll 12s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l4, 1 heifer alt £l4, 2 heifers at £l2 ss, 1 cow at £l4 15s, 2 heifers at £l2, 2 at £lO 15s, 2 at £l3 10s, 1 at £l4 7s fid, 1 sucker at £ll 17s 6d; ou account of Wm. Houston 1 cow at £lO 10s, 1 at £lO 2s 6d, 1 at £9 15s, 1 at £B, 1 at £7 ss, 1 at £5 ss; on account of L.
