DaNNEVIRKE, March 11
Questioned by a “News” representative about Wellington rumours of the possibility of the early retirement of the Ei'ime Minister and the appointment of himself as leader of the United Party. Mr Ransom to-day stated : “I have no knowledge of the suggested retirement of the Prime Minister, but should Sir Joseph Ward decide to do so, all members of the Party will be called together to select a leader, and until such time as they are called together, I do not desire to make any comment upon the position of the future leader.”
