The final day’s play in the Plunket Shield cricket match, Wellington v. Auckland, opened in fine weather with a fresh southerly wind. Light rain overnight had had little effect on the wicket which was still in excellent order.. Rollings (32) and Foley (13) continued the innings to the bowling of Allcott, with the wind, and Wenslev.
