Keenness is manifested, particular interest being centred in the competition previous to the King’s medallists, the present holder being Sergeant-Major ,). Kearny, of Napier, who secured

the service championship at the recent National Rifle Association meeting. Sergeant-Major Moore (Wanganui) who won the Army championship and King’s medal at the initial meeting in 1923 is a competitor. Also Captain W. Masefield (Blenheim) who was second at the rifle championship a week ago.
