JOHN BROWN’S ESTATE
OVER £350,000 DEATH DUTY

SYDNEY, March 9
The late John Brown’s estate is estimated variously at from one and a half to two and a halff million sterling. If it is worth only one million the State will demand twenty per cent., or two hundred thousand sterling, in probate duty, and the Federal duty will be an additional fifteen per cent., or £150,000. .
