LONDON, March 9
The “Morning Post” states: “We were pleasantly surprised at the allround strength of the Rugby team visiting Australia and New Zealand, though it is a little disappointing that Scotland is so poorly represented. Colonials would have loved to see MacPherson, lan Smith and Spearhead in action, but in Scotland the authorities are a law to themselves in Rugby football. The only weak point in Baxter’s band of brothers is the selection of the scrum halfbacks.’’
