This game was played on Cass Square on Saturday and resulted in a win for Hokitika by 82 runs on the first innings. Groymouth won the toss and put Hokitika in who made 161 (F, Stapleton 68. Williams 44, T. Knowles 18, Anderson 12, G. Stapleton 10). Collett took 5 for 44, Kibble 2 for 34, Hart 2 for 8, Rose 1 for 10. Greymouth replied with 79 (Greening 24, Hart 26, Collett 12).
