DENNISTON DISPUTE
Yesterday the conference at • Grey* mouth regarding the dispute at the i>emiiston mine over the question of the i einstatement of an engine driver, Air Richards, was attended on behalf of the employers by Messrs W. A. Flavell (managing director of the Westport Coal Coy.), J. C. Brown (manager of the Westport Coal Coy), and T. Bishop (secretary of tlie Coal Owners’ Association). The Miners’ Organisation was represented by Messrs J. Smeaton (President), A. McLagan (Secretary) arid D. Hayward (President of the Coal Miners’ Council). The conference, though lengthy, was an arnica hie one, resulting in a complete agreement, which to-morrow will he submitted to the Donniston Miners' Fnion for ratification. There is now the probability tlmit the Donniston mine will resume operations on Monda v.
