Scacht resigned the Presidency of the Reichsbank on the ground that he disagrees with the Hague agreement. The bank rate was reduced to 5L P« ! cent.

Tbe failure of the Union Loan of six millions on London ■ Underwriters having to take up 75 per cent, is attributed, in Government circles to prejudice against Dominion Loans, because of the Australian situation, as well as world economic conditions.
