“Did you kill Mossitor?” was the qnestion put to Podmore. “T did not.” answered Podmore. who was in the witness box for lour hours, of which U consisted of a searching cross-ex-amination bv one of England s most skilful counsel. Sir Thomas Inskip, besides many pointed questions put by the Lord Chief Justice Hewart. The prisoner is serving sentence already. The evidence alleged an incriminating talk'about the Southampton garage murder by Podmore when bo was in gaol for car stealing.
Podmore flatly denied having any conversations with those men.
The verdict Is expected to-day
