Tn the Commons Mr P. Snowdon said the amount of the new conversion loan issued for cash was £155,325.000, and 'by the conversion of five and a half per cent treasury bonds £30.372.000. additionally 331 millions worth of war loan 1929-17 was .converted into a new conversion loan. Mr Glynn asked whether he were aware of the position created in Australia as affected ’British and other shipping and tho free movement ol British subjects domiciled in the United Kingdom not resident in Australia by reason of restrictions of normail movememts of credit facilities by the Australian Government also banks. Mi- Bunn safcl lie understood some difficulty was experienced in eonmiericia! and shipping circles in.consequence of the restriction of credit facilities by certain Australian banks, but as at present lie was advised the matter did not appear to he one about which representation could suitably Im made to the Australian Government.
