L-egge stated the Farm Board would, if necessary, spend a.s much as 150 million dollars to take up all the surplus wheat. The Board now ha--75 millions on hand for the purpose and Congress would bo asked to appropriate more if.the grain crisis continued. Lcggc added that both the House and Senate leaders had assured the Board of more money if the situation warranted it, meantime the grain stabilisation corporation would continue to buy May futures and visible stocks in an endeavour to support the market. The corporation cxeeeted to hold its May futures until after the now crop oi winter wheat was marketed beginning in the middle of June. It is understood the grain corporation now held considerably above twonty-fivi million bushels of wheat. It had future contracts for ten millions more.
