The King held the second investiture at Buckingham Palace to-day. The investiture, in contrast to the official one on Tuesday, was private and morning dress was worn. The ninety recipients of honours and decorations were drawn from all ranks of life and included a miner and a seaman. The King presented nine medals for gallantry in saving life at sea.
