WELLINGTON, March 7
Charging the Government with pursuing a policy of patchwork and hopeless thrift in regard to the unemployment problem, a deputation, representing the labour 1 movement in Wellington waited on the Minister of Lands, (Hon, G. W. Forbes), the Minister of Labour (Hon. W. A. Veitch), to demand that immediate steps be taken to deal with the situation as it exists in Wellington. In reply the Ministers defended the Governments action and claimed that, it had done more to alleviate the; trouble than any previous Government..
