'TEN NEW COMMISSIONERS

Mr Gillett, Secretary of Overseas Trade, slated in Parliament, that ten Commissioners for the furtherance oi overseas trade with foreign countries were being appointed. .Each appointment carried with it a salary of sixteen hundred pounds vearh, with coiiain additions for allowance. I lie Argentine, Brazil, China, I inland, Persia, and Switzerland, were each receiving Commissioners.
Mr Gillett said the figures in round numbers, of the attendance at Ihe London Section of the British Industries Fair were:—Home buyers 1.50,* (X)0 (against 111,00 in 1020); over■cas buyers 4,800 (against 3,701) in 1020); public, 51,000 (against 32.000 in 1020). The Birmingham figures for all classes were 150,000 against 120,000 j„ |O2O. The reports from both London and Birmingham indicated the icsii Its compared very favourably with the business done last year.
