ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

To-days live stock sale at Addington was on the whole a good one, prices being mostly well maintained.
Beef.—There was a small yarding of 356, mostly inferior. Prime sorts advanced from 23s to 40s per bead, and inferior sorts declined 20s. The snl-o was (boon. Mutton. —There were 4,400 yarded. The market was firm at late rates. Wethers sold: Prime 31s to 335, medium 27 to 295, light 21s (id to 2(55, extra ewes to 38s 7d, prime 23s to 24s 6d, medium 20s to 21s 6d, light 17s to 18s (id, aged 14s fid to 16s fid. Store sheep and lambs.—There were 10,500 lambs yarded. There was a good demand Ifor three-quarter and cross-breds, while fine wool sorts were irregular. Best long wool sorts fetched 20s to 225, seconds 17s to 10s, thirds 14s to 16s, fine wools 17s to 20s, seconds 11s to 13s, culls 7s to 13s 6d. The adult sheep numbered 15,800, mostly four and five-year-old ewes. Good sheep sold well. Prices were the same as last week, with a slipping tendency. Long wool two-tooth sold at 32s to 35s fid, six and eight tooth 20s to 255, full and failing mouth 17s to 10s 3d, two-tooth halfbred ewes 24s to 31s, four, six. and eight tooth 22s to 28s. full mouth 17s to 225, others 8s to 16s; wethers 24s to 265.
Fat lambs.—There were 202 yarded. The West Const was well represented. Prices were firm. "Extra sold up to
