Won by two lengths. Time 1.4 4-5. Pialco Handicap:—(7) Mote re 1, (5) Haviland 2, (11) Red Day 3. Won by a nc' k. Time 2.1 4-5. Always, Grand Tea, Helium, Thurnus and Arikitoa fell. Goldfinch, rider of the last-named was sent to the hospital.
