Ten sets competed in the Trombone Trio a.t the Bands contest this morning, the recalls being,, St. Kilda No. 1 (Marshall, Stalker, Munro), St. Kilda No. 2 (Rayinont, Courhalan, Newell), Timaru Municipal (Collins Buckley, Brown), Woolston (Williams, Lanham, Eteere). Final to-night. Side Drum, sight test, resulted; — Carmichael (Palmerston North) 170 points, 1, Lees (St. Kilda) 160 2. The maximum points obtainable were 20. Ba=s Drum, sight tost:—Wallace (St. Kilda) 17. 1 ; Gallop (Woolston) IG4 2.
