RESIGN AS PROTEST.
AGAINST CAPITATION GRANTS

WELLINGTON, February 26
Te Arc, Ivilbirnie and Hataitai School Committees have resigned as a protest against tire inadequate capitation grants. Previously the Wellington Board allowed some committees concession on reduced school roll numbers, which placed these committees in a better position than the customary procedure oi paying on an average attendance. The Board has now reverted to the payment on an average attendance and the above committees and others in a similai position have lost from £B3 to £IG in the annual capitation grant.
